The new version is definitely even better, and now you don't have to run it through WBStartup or the Startup-Sequence. While clicking on the PowerReboot icon within the dock, you now can SINGLE-click and the requester will show up. I turned off the Soft Reboot option, as when using the RadeonRX driver, it doesn't support Soft Reboot, so rather turned that off and only have Hard Reset, Power Off and Cancel as the options. I really recommend this tool if you have an AmigaNG system like the X1000, X5000 or the new A1222+. Keep up the excellent work.

@Francis G. Loch
Thank you so much for your answers and the suggestion of putting PowerReboot to the WBStartup and adding "DONOTWAIT" to its ToolTypes. I will do that. That would allow me to single-click it. It's really a great tool and a lot better than pOFF, that I used earlier when I was using SAM460ex. Keep up the excellent work.

@HKvalhe
I'm glad you are enjoying PowerReboot and thank you for the kind comments. :-)

It was intended that PowerReboot would be loaded into memory on its first run so would also be available through the Tools menu, then the second run would cause either the requester to appear or the reboot/shutdown to occur depending on its configuration.

If you add PowerReboot to the WBStartup list (please note you'll need to add "DONOTWAIT" to the icon's ToolTypes) it will run when the Workbench is started so you will then only need to press the icon once from the X-dock.

That is a good point though, I will add an option so that the program doesn't stay in memory so that when run it can display the requester and then quit afterwards.

PowerReboot works very well on my X5000/20. Love the Installer. Very modern and installed without problem. However, I also have the PowerReboot on my X-Dock. It is possible for the next update to allow the icon to be SINGLE-clicked, rather than DOUBLE-clicked? All my other operations on the dock are SINGLE-click able. Keep up the excellent work.

I don't know if this is possible, but maybe it could detect if you have an RX card and not offer the Soft reboot option?

@ Francis :
about the anti-alien reset : the idea is coming from Alien breed game in the
time limited levels.
the screen turns red and there is a voice saying "WARNING, destruction
iminent" plus a countdown

@Thematic

This is already a planned feature (amongst others) for a future release of
OS4Reboot.

Hmm.. load images by datatypes so everyone may make their system themes extend
to rebooting even.

I often sit and wonder what is happening during the few seconds before it does
the softboot :) So perhaps a countdown could be cool if it displayed it in
center of screen in a big bold font :)

Do you mean having a countdown before the reboot takes place?

looks good.
how about adding something like the anti-alien-reset made years ago ?
that would add some fun to this tool.
