Note: OS4.1 Update 1 is required for ffplay.

FFmpeg is a very fast video and audio converter. It can also grab from a live
audio/video source.

The command line interface is designed to be intuitive, in the sense that FFmpeg
tries to figure out all parameters that can possibly be derived automatically.
You usually only have to specify the target bitrate you want.

FFmpeg can also convert from any sample rate to any other, and resize video on
the fly with a high quality polyphase filter.

Known issues:

The libx264 codec, for an unknown reason, has terrible quality. Previous ffmpeg
OS4 port did not have this support, so nothing is lost. To use libx264, you must
use an ffpreset file by using the -vpre parameter.
