Welcome to my fifth release of the chat software "Pidgin"! Pidgin was formerly
known as "Gaim", but had to be renamed because of legal reasons.
Pidgin is an IM client that supports many protocols, including IRC, Google Talk
and XMPP. The protocols Discord, Facebook, Skype, Twitter and Slack are also
integrated as external plugins.
Pidgin is NOT endorsed by, nor affiliated with, AOL nor any other company in ANY

Additional informations

  * Pidgin uses the amiga device "RANDOM:" to generate random numbers in the
SSL code. This device is mounted automatically on startup, if not already
done. "RANDOM" is located in "Sys:Storage/DOSDrivers" by default.

  * Please copy own smiley themes to "Cygnix:Home/root/.purple/smileys".

The X11 environment AmiCygnix version 1.6 (or higher) must be installed
before! AmiCygnix is available on OS4-depot (http://os4depot.net).

To install the package, just click on the "Install"-icon. The data will be
installed into the AmiCygnix package. Afterwards you can find the programs in
"Cygnix:Software/Pidgin-2.13.0". To launch the program doubleclick on
  "Start_Pidgin_Desktop.bat" or "Start_Pidgin_Standalone.bat".
