Welcome to my third release of the chat software "Pidgin"! Pidgin was formerly
known as "Gaim", but had to be renamed because of legal reasons.
Pidgin is an IM client that supports many protocols, including AIM, ICQ, IRC,
XMPP, MSN and Yahoo. Pidgin is NOT endorsed by, nor affiliated with, AOL nor any
other company in ANY way.

Homepage: http://pidgin.im

New in this release
-------------------

  * New version 2.10.6 with many new features compared to the last version
    2.5.2.

  * New protocols for MXit, Facebook and Twitter.

  * Spell checking through aspell.

  * Keyboard layouts that do not conform to ISO-8859-1 standard (eg Polish or
Greek keyboards) are now better supported.

This includes support for dead keys. This version of AbiWord can be
installed on AmiCygnix V1.2, but for a complete support of dead keys, the
installation of AmiCygnix-Base V1.3 (or better) is mandatory!

Additional informations
-----------------------

  * Pidgin uses the amiga device "RANDOM:" to generate random numbers in the
SSL code. This device is mounted automatically on startup, if not already
done. "RANDOM" is located in "Sys:Storage/DOSDrivers" by default.

  * You can find hints for a connection to facebook here:

    http://code.google.com/p/pidgin-facebookchat

  * Please copy own smiley themes to "Cygnix:Home/root/.purple/smileys".
