I'm not a DefIcons expert, but if you have customized DefIcons installation compared to a standard OS4 installation, it might require some tweaking.

After carefully following instructions I couldn't get .Java to work in DefIcons, no problems with .Jar or .Class. |

One comment for this new file upload: it is still JAmiga version 1.2, only updated with a bugfixed installation script. If you weren't able to install previously (before 2014-01-05), it might be due to spaces in partition name or drawer. This should now be fixed.
