I've been wondering how complete this Ruby port is. As for people using it? Tons of people use it for everything from games, to utilities, to web apps (Ruby on Rails).

Forgot to add but "sh" is a requirement for scripts that run external programs: http://os4depot.net/index.php?function=showfile&file=development/utility/abc-shell.lha

many games use ruby/rubygame/sdl. so having a complete port wouldn't hurt. lately i have discovered that the japanese crowd seems to like ruby a lot. :) and i like weird jap stuff.

I had a look at RubyGame but it seems to require some external modules ... and the port of Ruby is not complete enough. I will work on Ruby if it is really used by many people. At the moment, it fills my needs (used for testing purpose).
