When I try to run Myst III Exile..I got following error: (Same data files work with Windows port of Residual) WARNING: GL_ARB_texture_non_power_of_two is not available. Do we need this fix applied to OS4 port ? https://github.com/residualvm/residualvm/blob/master/engines/myst3/gfx_opengl.cpp

If the focus is shifted in your game, you need to uncheck "Preserve Aspect ratio" in the Options tab

@thellier No problem, i used online translation :-) There is not much gain in disabling this function (ir change any other) right now. The biggest glitch we have to overcome isa z-ordering issue which makes the game look completely broken. I am no coder so i can't do anything actually, but either way i'll wait for gallium to see what has to be adapted and what not. But as i said, if you got time on your hand and the likes, you can always start hacking away...the code is open-source. Thanks for your input, though

Oups I wrote in franch. Sorry I was too tired I said that gfx_opengl.cpp/drawShadowPlanes certainly dont works as most 3d cards for amiga dont have stencil support ==> You should better disable this whole function

@Alain Thellier I don't speak french... Anyway, i haven't done anything on the 3D side yet, i haven't even looked at it, due to lack of 3D capable hardware. I'd rather let alone anything 3D until we can seriously work with Gallium and see what parts need to be changed and what can stay. But of course this is an open source project, so knock yourself out and change to your hearts content...i'm always looking for someone who will add to the project ;-)

The only thing i can say is...it's alpha (at least the OS4 version) and it will stay in that state for a veeeeeery long time It is not supposed to run for everyone, with every version on every software version Sorry...unless some coder jumps in and fixes all the platform/Big Endian/OpenGL related bugs it might as well die in the process

You must create 2 folders. Extras and saves. and this 2 folders you must add to your residual config in residual edit game -> Paths

I don't know how you guys are playing the game because I cannot get it to run at all. I copied the files from the CD then got what you see below. I then installed to a PC and applied the patch and dragged those files over. No change. I then applied that patch from the OS4 tools and replaced the new files. No change. What is going on!? :-? It never works. I get a window with a "Doggie Dragster" in it, all my CPU time used up and the folowing text. If I try and close it after this it usually freezes the machine while ignoring the the close window gadget. User picked target 'grim-win' (gameid 'grim')... Thanks for the fix. Restoring a saved position now works without any problems. Tried a couple of times. :)

You had right about hardware acceleration. It's really unplayable. But on the other hand with software acceleration is actually fast on my Peg2 G4 machine. Till now didn't find any glitches or bugs though (except from the save game).

Thanks for the tests. I am pretty sure it´s not a FS and/or RAM problem on our hardware. Keep in mind that this *is* alpha software I do hope to get a pretty stable (without such glitches) version up soime time. But that is bound to the devs unfortunately

I use the english version, but under SFS. I'll try to create a partition with JXFS to test it. Thanks for your answer Raziel. Regards.

There is an oustanding bug item covering corrupted save games. I also have a report from a german version that does the same. Funny enough i don´t have such problems at all I use JXFS if that matters anything though

Does anyone have problems when trying to restore an old saved game using the same version of the interpreter? I got a DSI error and after a Recoverable Alert! Apart from that, the game plays well enough.
