@jabirulo
Looking forward to updates for this game. Just do your best. Keep it up. It's a really fine game worth playing.

Other games, other code, other sources, other coders/port(ers) :-)
When I (re)build an updated SDLPoP will let you know.

Did further testing with ESI@Juli XTe, regardless 16 or 32-bit HIFI Stereo++ mode, even 48Khz and 96Khz. Doesn't really make a difference. When the intro of the game starts, the music plays with crackling, slow play. When getting into the game, it's better. I have no problem with my soundcard in all other games. Works as supposed to.

@jabirulo
I'll do that and I'll check if I need to reduce the freguency of the ESI@Juli XTe from 96Khz to 48Khz. The 32-channels are correct in AHI, but it was rather a question of what freguency to use. I try to reduce to 48Khz and see if that actually means something. Thank you for instructions.

See Readme.doc (doc drawer) to more key combinations

I probably see some problem using, as I understand, SDL and not SDL2 or static libraries like z.library, based on newer GTK+ codings. SDL is slower than SDL2. I was thinking about the fact that a game like BlobWars, the latest version from 2017, was instead ported using static libraries and GTK+. Keep improving.

@jabirulo
Perhaps the built-in SM502 audio demands less power. I use mine in Music Unit (Unit 0: 32-bit HIFI Stereo++ with 32 channels. Same for Unit 1, 2 and 3. Could be an explanation. As an example, I have the latest version of BlobWars, made a couple of years ago. I suppose it's based on SDL2 engine. From there, there's no problem with slow music. Music plays quite normal. It's just in this port it happens. Perhaps possible to look deeper into it? But otherwise, the game plays smooth, so just keep improving the port. It has great potensial.

Strange as here on my SAM460ex OGG plasy ok/smooth, but using sm502 audio.
Maybe is something with the Julia soundcard driver,
I use as main music sound unit (Unit 0: HiFi 16 bit stereo++), then as unit 0,1,2,3 the SM502 HiFi 16 bit stereo++

@Jabirulo
Yes, even when using the OGG files, music plays slow. Otherwise the game plays smooth enough.

Even using the OGG files?

Music still plays slow in this port of Prince Of Persia. I suppose it's probably the nature of the SDL. Is it possible to use SDL2 instead? Perhaps optimizing the music to play in normal speed? It shouldn't matter if using 16-bit HIFI Stereo++ or 32-bit HIFI Stereo++.
I have reduced amount of channels to 32.

Thanks, I will do that. Will test again! Keep up the excellent work :)

THX. Try to use OGG form here (readme,txt):
...
You need to get the music from here: (38 MB)
https://www.popot.org/get_the_games/various/PoP1_DOS_music.zip
It's the last link here: https://www.popot.org/get_the_games.php?game=1
Copy the OGG files to the data/music folder.
...
dunnot if it will make any difference.
On my SAM460ex I use built-in sound driver (HiFi 16 bit stereo++)

I have tested it on my SAM460ex. Graphic is smooth and fast, but music play is slow. Probably because my Julia soundcard plays the 128 channels in 32-bit HIFI Stereo++ mode. It shouldn't affect the music at all. Possible to improve music play? Other than that, the port is very promising and has great potensial. Keep up the excellent work.
