Meaning that "Blob Wars: Attrition" would have to appear on computers before talking about a possible port to AmigaOS4, I take it. Thanks again, Salass00 :)

"Blob Wars: Attrition" is closed source so porting it is not possible. Also it seems to be Android only.

Forgive me, Salass00. The mistake was mine. I simply forgot to update some stuffs during the Updater from latest Workbench Enhancer, which included a later version of z.library as well. Testing the game now and YES, it runs perfectly! So everything correct now :)

Once again, thank you for the update :) A really fine game it is :) Keep it up :) May I suggest porting Blob Wars: Attrition (I think it's called)?

There's no SObjs directory because this time I built blobwars using only static libraries. Also I used gcc 6.1.0 from adtools.

Thanks salass00. I have version 53.5 of the z.library. I have the latest Enhancer Pack on my AmigaOne 500 aka SAM460ex, that runs AmigaOS 4.1 FE Update 1. But I assume it might be as you say otherwise...But what about that missing SOBjs drawer in the game archive?

It turns out that I had a slightly newer z.library on my AmigaOS 4.1 FE partition which I used for testing. I guess you need to either buy the Enhancer Pack, which should include a newer version, or wait for a newer z.library version to be released as part of an OS update (might take a while).

Regarding the error message, it seems that the SOBjs drawer that should be part of the game, is missing, as it was not included in the archive. Please remember to add this drawer into the archive with only the SOBjs files needed to run the game...

Installed the game over the old version and an error message showed up, saying "assertion "LIB_TS_AT_LEAST(ZBase, 53, 6)" failed: file "static/autoinit_z_base.c", line 33".

Great to see a minor bugfix to this already excellent Amiga port! This is a truly awesome game! By the way, there is another Blob Wars game available. It's called "Blob Wars: Attribution". The link to the game is here: http://www.parallelrealities.co.uk/p/blob-wars-attrition.html

How about porting that? :)

Although, the game itself plays really smooth and nicely on SAM460ex, it causes a GR error when trying to run the game in fullscreen. It forces the WB to be killed, in order to keep playing...

However, I wonder. The SDL is now SDL2. It is possible to change this? Perhaps even make it works in fullscreen mode without crashing the Workbench?

Further on, the game has been tested again by Fredrik and on a PUBLIC version of AmigaOS 4.1 with latest updates caused the same crash as mine. We both have a SAM460ex system. Fredrik runs a BETA installation of the latest AmigaOS 4.1 in DEBUG mode, so he was more successfully able to play the game without problems. This is not the case for me, running the PUBLIC version of the latest AmigaOS 4.1 with updates. I hope these small bugs will be fixed. I love the game and want to play it, but as long as these GR messages show up, i don't dare to play the game, leaving it to lock my system up. :(

Seems i was too quick to think the game ran without problems on my system. I can't explain the 2 GR messages, but i have sent the 2 crashlogs in here, which you can see for yourself. I have no problems with other games or applications. Only BlobWars. All files are the latest versions, but it seems to be a conflict with the version of SObjs from the game, and the latest SObjs in the main SOBjs drawer in SYS. That's what i think, but i could be wrong. However, the crashlogs should explain the bugs in detail, and hopefully a version 1.20 could erase these small bugs. It's most unfortunate, because i LOVE this game. I had to remove it, until these bugs are erased.

The game works again now, so not really a problem anymore. However, it was a good idea to send the crashlogs i got earlier to the author of the AmigaOS4 port of the game, so hopefully, another new version could be done with even more improvements :) The game is great! :)

I try again. I run the game from eGame Launcher.

No problem here,
the game runs well with all AOS 4.1.6 updates

After the latest Kernel update of AmigaOS 4.1 Update 6, there seems to be a problem running the game. I got 2 crashlogs that mention a bug in the SDL and the main game. Ignoring them won't help, as they pop up again and cause the system to freeze. I have sent the crashlogs to Fredrik, who did the latest port of the game, in hope to fix the bugs.

It needs the iconv.library (download it from Aminet) or else your Amiga will freeze upon running the game's icon.

It is a cool game, but i get stuck in level 4 (Inner Cave Network, Part 2).
I think there is a bug in the lifter in the upper right corner of the
level. It doesn't go to end.
I couldn't find the third gold key, to rescue the MIA behind the three gold
doors.
And I couldn't throw the grenades to the present-switch in the left of the
level.
Any Idea?
