Aspect ratio is only calculated when you change values manually for a loaded picture, but not for separate images in a batch conversion.
So, unfortunately this is currently useful only when images in a batch conversion are in same size or same aspect ratio, like pictures from your camera for instance. If you have 16:9 images or whatever, load one of them to the program, set the resize values ("Keep aspect ratio" setting doesn't know the wanted aspect ratio if you don't have anything loaded, naturally), and then add the wanted images to the batch converter.
I knew this feature isn't optimal for all purposes yet, and I'll probably try to figure out some kind of solution for that batch converting of images in different dimensions/ratios, but I'll need a good idea how to implement that cleanly in the GUI...

I set the resize to 640x480 to images 480 high and various widths but all iages were scaled to 640x480.
It seems to only except 4:3 sizes and scales to that size no matter what I try.my monitor is 16:9 so 4:3 isn't a lot of use.
There's no way to specify just a height or width seperately to set the image to that size and keep the aspect ration.
