Sorry guys,

I have a problem with "png.iconmodule", since all
create pictograms, no longer have the icon format of AmigaOS4, but they are all in dual PNG icon format! So get out with "PNG iconmodule", or just not as support for MorphOS icons anymore! So when saving icons must be asked whether with or without "PNG icon" support, otherwise not conform with AmigaOS !!! And thus not usable at the moment !!!

Greetings IconDesigner

Wow, great to see a dev react to a request so quickly. But too quickly... the About still reads V1.8 ;)

Hello PEB. It's good to see that you're continuing work on this.
When using the Add Text tool; If I try to change font, on clicking OK > error: wrong usage. Error triggered by Function: Line 348

@dan.hutch

You need to have AISS installed.

I get the following error on startup (under FE):

Cannot read file list_checkmark !
File: GUIFuncs.hws (current line: 6 - In function: LoadBrush)

Hello PEB, nice to see you back ;)
I gave it a try quickly and saw that some effects like the glow effect, didn't work. (Function p_mergealphachannels() not found!)

Regards,

Hi, curiously to find out how you managed to get Hollywood to open up AmigaOS4 icons. If you want to talk about it further in more detail please head over to the HW forums I'll start a thread somewhere there.

You need the latest AISS, which you can find here:

Unexpected! Thanks! :-)

@djrikki
Without this tool I would be totally lost - for those who do icon artwork (with AmigaOS) this tool is a must!

Like your previous version looks great, seems to be the all-round icon editor available for AmigaOS at the moment. However, I don't really understand the opening interface - but tbh I've never tried creating icons and don't really have a desire to. For anyone who currently creates icons for AmigaOS it may well be self-explanatory! Perhaps as a suggestion you could write a simple PDF explaining how to do stuff so new users can get to grips with it?

Keep up the good work :)

Thanks for this updated incarnation of PIE.

The interface is much neater now.

One drawback compare to earlier PIE versions is the font selection:
It used to open a requester which made it possible to get fonts outside of SYS:Fonts and the list came up instantly as they're usually cached. This one takes a while to get the list.

I'm not sure what Hollywood lets you do but if you can open the system font requester with a flag for scalable fonts only it would both allow loading external font while preventing confusion about bitmap fonts (not sure why they can't be loaded btw)

It would be nice if the draw tool would allow drawing continuously rather than just plot one pixel per click only
