Ah, ok. This could have different cause of error: * The email doesn't send the charset used (eg. Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8) * Simplemail failed to identify the send charset. * The integrated html-viewer of Simplemail doesn't support UTF8. * Or some other I didn't think of.

Yes because the program thinks the UTF8 text is ASCII, so the C3A9 is assumed to be two chars, not one char.

@Lio: But ISO-8859-15 (or ISO-8859-1) does have these chars in it and should work with Simplemail. Simplemail uses some external classes for text display and edit. This classes would need to be updated before Simplemail can make use of it.
