cnn doesn't cause a freeze for me (tested with QtWeb and InternetSurfBoard) but a 100% workload. I agree, the result is similar but the programs are closables.

the CNN link causes a freeze and justadventure.com sluggishly loads and then barely functions. Tried with all the options in qt pref on/off with the same result and java is disabled.

Thank you so much for the help, zz10h! It mad QWeb a lot faster now! Just wonder how to transfer bookmarks from MUI-OWB to QWeb, if possible :)

Did you try to
-enable disk-cache
and
-disable JavaScript

as mentioned in the readme ?

It's a very nice, good-looking browser and seems useful, but the speed of QtWeb loading sites is slow. Hopefully, later versions will be faster.
